Sony's TZ11 reviewed: Tiny, powerful, expensive
Remember the Sony Vaio T-Series laptops? Of course you do. How could you possibly forget such light, small and powerful machines, especially considering their eye-popping battery life. Well, the lucky dogs at Stuff UK got their hands on the Sony Vaio TZ11 and according to their review, this is one lappie that lives up to the hype. While it's easy to be distracted by the machine's LED-backlit display, solid state hard drive and CPU/graphics muscle, the most impressive aspect of the TZ11 might just be the unit's battery life: 9 hours, according to Sony. Of course, that's under ideal conditions, so what's the real world battery life going to look like in a heavy-usage scenario? Stuff ran a continuous loop of HD WMV video on the TZ11, with the machine's WiFi radio turned on and still managed to squeeze three and a half hours of life out of the little guy. That's so impressive that it's almost enough to make me forget about those exploding Sony batteries.
