Something's afoot at the iTunes store...

Looks like MGM/United Artists has finally decided to join the iTunes fray, making a few movies from the vaults available for download on the iTunes Store. If you've been dying to watch Robocop on your iPod, now is the time to rejoice. Meanwhile, the Washington Post's "video wonkcast" is now available in 720p, a first for the store. Is this a one-off, or could it be the sign of things to come? After all, the Apple TV supports 720p, so you'd think it would make perfect sense for Apple to actually sell content at that resolution...
