Slew of Windows patches coming
October 6, 2005 — 8:01pm ET
Microsoft will ship eight security patches Tuesday, one marked critical, officials said. Plan ahead for this month's batch, as some of the patches (including one for Exchange Server) will require downtime. Whatever the details, there is still plenty of work ahead for Microsoft since there are at least 20 unpatched flaws in Internet Explorer alone, according to research firm Secunia.
