Skype to pay due penance for blackout
Seems like more than a few folks were upset by last week's two-day Skype outage--not surprising, given that millions of businesses and consumers rely on the VoIP service for their Internet calling needs. Worry not, VoIP fans: Skype feels your pain and they're hoping to ease it just a bit with some free calls. All Skype Pro, Skype Unlimited, SkypeIn and Skype Voicemail customers will automatically receive a seven-day extension to their current subscription; think of it as Skype's way of saying "I'm sorry."
