Search firms seek govt. help against censorship

Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! say the U.S. government should fight censorship on their behalf, although all three search engine giants recently admitted helping foreign governments censor online content to some degree. Putting the issue of hypocrisy aside, the topic will become increasingly important to all software companies that enable the flow of information, whether it's CRM, email, databases, routers or anything else. The only winners may be internationalization vendors.
