Search biz makes $1.1B from risky links
About 5 percent of search engine results are actually adware, spyware or send you spam, according to security company McAfee. That is approximately one result per page. It might not sound like much but it creates $1.1 billion in revenue for search engines each year, the researchers said. Ask.com is the worst offender, followed by Google and Yahoo.
