SAP likes process, slams open-source
SAP CEO Bill McDermott, in Pennsylvania yesterday, said his company's focus on retail software and having Microsoft as a top partner is already paying off. In products, SAP during the next few years will start shipping forms-based and service-based software, he said. Meanwhile, in Silicon Valley, SAP president Shai Agassi criticized the open-source movement and Oracle. Open-source companies don't understand intellectual property, and Oracle is a big pirate ship, he said.
