SAP announces enterprise search tool
SAP is finally entering the corporate search game. The new software is simply called SAP Enterprise Search and uses in-memory technology from SAP's NetWeaver business process platform for speedier results. Searches execute through a special appliance and are accessed either through a browser or through custom modules in a company's other applications. Test versions are available now but Enterprise Search won't officially ship until next year.
