Samsung unveils 16 GB, 50 nm NAND flash module
If you're waiting in hushed anticipation for solid state storage, bigger flash memory cards or a wireless handset with a large storage capacity (iPhone anyone?) then Samsung has good news for you. The Korean memory giant released their 50-nanometer, 16GB NAND flash memory modules for review today and the early buzz is that they boast twice the read speed of conventional NAND memory in addition to a 50 percent faster write speed. Samsung will start mass producing the chips during the current quarter.
