Samsung drops massively small 64GB SSD

This war for Solid State Drive dominance just keeps escalating--which is funny because I don't even know a single person who owns one yet. If you haven't been paying attention, here's the skinny: Samsung, the undisputed king of NAND flash, makes an announcement, a competitor announces a similar product and then Samsung fires back with an even more compelling product. Rinse, lather, repeat. The latest news is that Samsung has developed a 64GB SSD drive--the first SSD that's big enough to be considered a full laptop drive replacement. Not content to leave it at that, they made sure that it was awfully zippy: 64MB/s read and 45MB/s write speeds sound good to you? If a piece of tech were ever destined to fan the flames of Flash-based ultraportable MacBook speculation, this was it.
