Samsung announces Armani phone
So, fancy yourself a connoisseur of designer threads, eh? Well, as a person of your discriminating taste surely knows, a phone is more than just a gadget. That's right: a cell phone is an accessory. And when you're accessorizing, any old handset won't do--you're gonna need a phone that matches that outfit. As LG has already demonstrated with their Prada phone, there's a market for high-end, designer-branded phones, so it is not entirely surprising that Armani has partnered with Samsung to create--what else--the "Armani Phone". Announced by Giorgio himself following his runway show in Milan, this little guy looks to be a feature-for-feature match with the Prada phone: tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM, a 3-megapixel camera, a 2.6-inch touchscreen LCD with haptic feedback, Bluetooth 2.0, a microSD expansion slot and of course, an Armani logo. If that sounds like it's worth your hard-earned €650 (about 900 greenbacks), you're gonna want to jetset over to Europe, where the phone will be available in November.
