Ruby gem of a language for Java, .Net
JRuby and IronRuby are new independent projects intended to help create modular code libraries for the Ruby dynamic programming language and the Ruby on Rails service-architecture version. JRuby is an open-source version for Java applications and IronRuby is a compiler for Microsoft's .Net platform. A big difference: Sun approves of JRuby while Microsoft won't even comment on IronRuby.
