Roadmap for Firefox 3.6 unveiled
Fans of the increasingly popular Mozilla Firefox will be glad to know that the roadmap toward the next version of the Internet browser has been unveiled--even before the arrival of the upcoming Firefox 3.5, which is expected to be released in June.
Codename Namoroka, the new version is an ambitious revamp, and will include a new task-oriented user interface paradigm as well as a deep integration of Prism-like rich Internet application functionality. Performance will continue to be prioritized, though support for new lightweight "themes" and "add-ons" that can be installed without a browser restart will be incorporated. Firefox 3.6 is loosely expected to arrive somewhere in 2010.
