Researcher: Major banking sites insecure
Web sites for American Express, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase don't use enough security, said Johannes Ullrich, chief researcher of the SANS Institute. The sites all use encryption but not authentication technologies, so they're convenient but can be replicated by attackers, Ullrich and other experts said. Of course, the banks defend their practices, but there's a moral: Online security can always be improved.
