OSDL: Microsoft applications on Linux?

Stuart Cohen, who leads the non-profit Open Source Development Lab that employs Linux creator Linus Torvalds, said this week, "I anticipate that as open source software grows, Microsoft will make its applications available in open source form. Their customers are also Linux customers, and they are interested in interoperability -- servers and desktops. They will make it available." Does he have inside information? OSDL representatives say he was just speculating and Microsoft, of course, outright denied having any Linux porting plans. Meanwhile, OSDL announced plans to expand in Europe.
