Looks like Oracle is trying to its best to become more likable. Earlier this week, we reported that the company is making an effort to play nice with third-party developers. Now, the company has announced that their previously indecipherable security reports are going to receive a complete overhaul. The reports will feature a number of new, reader-friendly sections, such as an executive summary, a summary of remotely-executable bugs and severity scores--based on the CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) standard devised by the Department of Homeland Security's National Infrastructure Advisory Council. "This gives us some new features that will be very helpful to customers. They want a way to rank vulnerabilities based on importance and severity," Darius Wiles, senior manager for security alerts at Oracle, told eWeek.
