Oracle is buggier than SQL server
A new study from Next Generation Security Software (NGSS) claims that Oracle's database software contains far more security vulnerabilities than Microsoft's competing SQL Server. Between December 2000 and November 2006, the researchers discovered 233 unique vulnerabilities in Oracle's database products--compared to 59 in SQL Server. "I think it's time people got past this, especially security researchers," said David Litchfield, founder of NGSS. "We should be about closing holes and improving a vendor's outlook on security and--largely--that battle has been won with Microsoft."
