Opsware upgrades to sixth-gen apps

Opsware is relaunching its server and network automation software with the new name of System 6. They also announced two new products, which are Visual Application Manager and the Opsware Network security service. VAM helps with software mapping, while the Opsware Network sends alerts and update information. Meanwhile, Opsware as a company has Cisco on its side as a reseller, but it is going up against huge rivals like EMC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Symantec, BMC Software, and Mercury Interactive.
