OpenOffice.org warns of three vulnerabilities
Three security vulnerabilities were found in the OpenOffice.org software suite. This applies to versions 1.1.x and 2.0.x, and Sun Microsystems' StarOffice versions 6, 7, and 8, officials said. One flaw lets attackers access system resources via Java applets, another secretly injects macro code into documents and a third used malformed XML documents to cause buffer overflows. Patches and work-arounds are being developed.
