Open-source on Windows the next big thing?

Some open-source applications are good enough to consider using on Windows, not just as substitutes for Linux. Firefox is the best example, but more important tools like application and web servers all have technology that's quickly moving from *nix to Windows. Some point out that Windows versus *nix--Linux in particular--doesn't have to be an either-or situation.
