Not all gloom and doom: A list of who's hiring

You might have read about the list of IT layoffs recently, which does offer a little more insight into what is happening around us. While I think everyone agrees that the current downturn will not be reversing itself anytime soon, the important fact is that it will not last forever. It's not all gloom and doom; to prove that, CNET's Webware editor Rafe Needleman came up with a list of who's hiring.

I picked about 10 of them out; see if you recognize them:

• Barracuda Networks: 28 positions - Engineering, Sales, Marketing, IT, support
• BoxTone: 5 positions - Sales, Marketing, Development
• Cisco: 25 positions - Product Managers, Engineering
• Clearwire: 12 positions - Network services, Sales and IT
• GoDaddy: 45 positions - Developers, Engineers and Marketers
• Research in Motion: > 50 positions - R&D
• Mozy: 30 positions - Developers (front and back), UI, QA
• Salesforce.com: > 400 positions - R&D, IT, Sales, Marketing and others
• Siemens IT Solutions: > 100, Technicians, Engineers, Managers
• Walmart: > 300 positions - Technical staff for their IT department
