Nitro PDF Software has announced version 6.2 of its flagship Nitro PDF Professional, which now supports 256-bit encryption for increased security, and also adds a number of features that improve the user experience. In addition, PDF files can be converted to TIFF images for editing with traditional image editing tools, and a new one-click flattening option has been incorporated in the File menu. When "flattened," form fields are essentially deactivated and annotations merged into the PDF file to prevent future alterations.
