Whether want to take a VR tour or watch the latest trailer for Spiderman 3, you're eventually going to have to install Apple's Quicktime software on your system. It's a required component for iTunes, comes pre-installed on all Macs and is a popular free download for the PC--even when its not officially supported by the IT department. So take heed: Apple has released version 7.1.5 of its video player, which fixes eight separate bugs that effect Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X. All eight bugs are considered highly critical, since they can allow remote code execution on the local machine via a malicious audio/video file. Even if you don't officially support Quicktime, it's probably in your best interest to make sure that your users have the latest update installed.
