New SDXC standard could provide up to 2TB on an SD card

The new SDXC (eXtended Capacity) memory card specification unveiled by the SD Association at CES 2009 can support data storage capacities of up to a whopping 2TB. It will also able to read and write at speeds up to 104MB/sec; though it is not really that fast considering that such a speed will require many hours of copying to fill up the card. Article
