New iPod Nanos to be short and stout?
Apple's entire iPod line of portable media players is long overdue for a refresh, so it should come as no surprise that rumors about their appearance are starting to surface. Rumor site 9 to 5 Mac claims to have the skinny, though if they're right, the new Nanos sure could be ugly. According to the site's "sources in China," the new Nanos will be nearly square in shape, with an uncharacteristically large screen (taking up about 50 percent of the unit's face) and the ability to play back video. What's more, they'll come in the following colors: Black-matte, Silver, Cranberry/Wine Red, Light Blue and Light Green. This is a completely unsubstantiated rumor at this point and even though 9 to 5 Mac has been right in the past, I'd be surprised if the final unit ended up looking anything like their mock-up.
