Network management tools poised for comeback
Last year was very active for network management vendors. CA acquired Concord, IBM acquired Micromuse and Cisco Systems entered the field with a bang. Why? Because the market will grow from $1.94 billion last year to $2.45 billion in 2009, IDC says. For customers of smaller vendors, be prepared for more acquisitions. It also makes sense that a new wave of tools will arrive to handle IPv6 traffic.
