More bugs hit IE, Firefox
June 29, 2006 — 8:01pm ET
Speaking of vulnerabilities, two more were found in Internet Explorer, and one was found in Mozilla's Firefox. The IE bugs include one which tricks users into opening a malicious file, and another which is a cross-scripting attack. Nobody's reporting exploits, but nor are there patches, so it's a race of Black Hat vs. White Hat. As for Firefox, the same cross-scripting flaw applies. Mozilla didn't comment.
