Mobile, SMB are focus of VoiceCon show

Sprint, Avaya, Toshiba and Mitel are some of the brand-name Internet telephony players who will introduce new products at this week's VoiceCon Fall 2006 show in San Francisco. There's a trend in small- and mid-sized business gear expected at this show, but more interesting to big business users is the rise of VoIP products for mobile users. Sprint and Avaya will focus on a second generation of VPN technology, while Mitel will introduce secure IP communications for which they claim VPNs aren't necessary because of a 128-bit AES encryption design.
