Microsoft said it made last week's MS06-040 patch the top priority in its software update servers, and that patches for the remaining open security bulletins will arrive soon (they didn't specify when). The patch was for a worm which was said to possibly be the most devastating in several years, but the hit never really materialized. Microsoft highlighted the update in a different color so that users wouldn't miss it--that's not a big deal--but the company has never done it before. The prioritization was described on security blogs but not on the update pages directly.
