Microsoft updated its System Center Data Protection Manager with a beta of version 2.0 this week. The software now supports Exchange, Sharepoint and SQL servers; 512 block-level copies versus 64 before; and has 15-minute backup intervals versus 1 hour before. Also new are support for multiple directory forests and multiple trusted domains in 50 servers overall. The final version is expected to ship in summer 2007, officials said.
