Microsoft to let users lead Longhorn
Microsoft said it will license Longhorn Server Beta 2 this summer for actual deployments in special situations. It could be used with Internet Information Server 7.0, with certain user roles and features disabled (i.e., they're not yet finished being developed and tested). It will be interesting to see if name-brand companies endorse putting Longhorn behind live sites before the final server ships.
