Ever want to run Novell's or Red Hat's Enterprise Linux on a server where Windows is installed? Beginning this winter, that will be slightly easier with the launch of Virtual Server 2005 R2, officials said. The software will support both AMD's and Intel's chip-based virtualization technology. Moreover, there's a whole new version -- Virtual Server 2006 -- due in beta in the first half of next year. That version will be part of the Vista server, due in early 2007, officials said.
