Microsoft says EC colluding with rivals

Microsoft, facing up to $2.4 million in daily fines after European Commission antitrust hearings later this month, accused the EC of colluding with companies like IBM and Sun Microsystems. Secret contacts between the EC, Microsoft's rivals and independent technical committees mean that Microsoft won't get impartial hearings, the software giant claims. An EC spokesman did not comment.
