Microsoft rolls out SDK for its Surface interface
If you recall, we posted about Microsoft's Surface technology as early as last year. To refresh your memory, the entire paradigm revolves around the concept of a Surface device in the form of a 30-inch, table-top PC with a gestural touch interface.
Unfortunately, folks looking forward to a mass market version this year will be disappointed: Consumer application availability is expected to take another three to five years. Still, the distribution of the SDK this week to some 1,000 developers can only be a good sign. Developers who simply cannot wait any longer can now purchase a 30" diagonal Microsoft Surface, inclusive of five licenses and developer support for a sum of $13,500.
