Microsoft releases Office 2003 SP3

Office 2007 haters, today is your day: Microsoft has released Office 2003 Service Pack 3 via Software Update, bringing a slew of updates to old-school Office users everywhere. Included in the Service Pack are a number of hotfixes that the company released post-SP2, as well as a few other patches. Among the new fixes:

  • Excel: performance improvements for loading files over slow networks, updates to error-reporting service
  • Word: fixes for formatting errors, improved support for copying and pasting text from web pages
  • Powerpoint: fixes for bugs in "Package for CD" feature
