Microsoft readies new collaboration products

Microsoft recently divulged some updates on the real-time communications front. For the Windows Vista time frame (overall 2006), there will be major releases of Live Communications Server and the Office Communicator client. The former gets business process integration; the latter gets new presence technology. For now, both are only being called the "Next Gen" versions by Microsoft. Live Meeting 8 is also due with full-duplex VoIP and possibly 360-degree videoconferencing.
