Microsoft R&D working on multi-touch laptop

It's no secret that we here at DailyTechRag loves us some multi touch. Which is why we'd like to welcome a new player into the field of desktop touchscreens with open arms: Microsoft. While touch-sensitive technologies might be a few years out when it comes to mainstream use in desktop operating systems, R&D labs are working hard to design the next-generation of touch tech. We've already seen Microsoft's uber-expensive Surface platform and now it looks like the company is using the same technology to drive advancements in desktop tech. Check out the video of a laptop running a Vista touch-interface in Microsoft's R&D lab in Cambridge. Is it just me or do some of those actions look downright iPhone-like?
