Microsoft patches Outlook and Exchange
Microsoft's monthly patch batch covers Outlook and Exchange this time around. One patch, MS06-003, deals with a specific type of MIME attachment that can gain access to servers and in-boxes. Another, MS06-002, lets attackers build fonts with malicious code inside. This month's patches directly follow the Windows Metafile fiasco, in which Microsoft broke the patch cycle due to public pressure.
