Microsoft patches 18 bugs this month

Microsoft's monthly patch batch has seven fixes for 18 problems in Windows and Office. Of the seven, two are rated critical. The first is a Windows data storage glitch that could allow remote worm attacks without any user intervention; security experts say this one is especially serious. On the Office side, the patches are mostly for widely known but minor issues.
