Microsoft makes Office 2007 beta available today

The new version of Microsoft Office 2007, a.k.a. Beta 2 Technical Refresh, focuses on fixing bugs and other problems from the regular Beta 2 version released this summer. Another refresh or two may still be planned, but Microsoft is supposedly keeping a tight schedule. Among the new features is something called the Quick Customize Menu for users to build unique "ribbon" menus--far simpler than the customization processes of Office XP and earlier versions.
