Microsoft gains, LAMP declines in Web servers

Microsoft's share of the Web server market jumped 4.7 percent to 25 percent overall this month, as GoDaddy became the second major domain registrar to switch millions of customers to Windows platforms. However, the Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP stack, better known as just LAMP, is still the leader at 63 percent, despite falling 5.9 percent this month.
