Microsoft eases U.S. government concerns

U.S. antitrust officials said Microsoft's recent offer to share more server source code is enough, for now, to avoid further penalizing the company. Specifically, code is being shared for Microsoft's communications protocols, along with the support to help other companies implement that code. There are now 28 licensees, which includes other industry giants like Cisco Systems and Hitachi.
