Microsoft demos Windows Mobile update
Love it or hate it, you've got to admit that Windows Mobile is king in the land of mobile enterprise productivity. So it goes without saying that a forthcoming update to Windows Mobile 6--due in the first quarter of next year--will make a definite impact in enterprises of all sizes. Engadget reports that Microsoft showed off the new update at their annual Mobius conference and while the actual specifics are being kept under wraps, they were able to give us a few sketchy thoughts on the mobile software, which Microsoft is stressing "is an update, not an upgrade." "Our first impressions: very slick, and has a lot of features that just about any WinMo user will agree is way overdue," Engadget writes. "In other words, we're expecting users will be stoked -- no doubt about it."
