Microsoft ASP.net AJAX 1.0 released on web
If you're looking for a development framework for dynamic web applications, you could do worse than Microsoft's ASP.net AJAX (formerly known as Atlas). As we reported yesterday, ASP.net AJAX was identified by Evans Data as one of the most secure scripting platforms available. Microsoft released the first official version of the ASP.net AJAX framework on their website yesterday, which includes both client-side and server-side APIs. Microsoft will eventually include ASP.net AJAX with the next version of Visual Studio. If you're interested in giving your in-house applications a shiny coat of Web 2.0 paint, this might be a good place to start.
