Microsoft acquires Internet voice startup

Why should you care about Microsoft's acquisition of VoIP start-up Teleo for an undisclosed sum? Because it could be the starting point of a greater effort to radically change corporate communications. Sure, Windows already had NetMeeting, etc.; but Teleo-inside-Vista could affect enterprise VoIP rivals, not just Skype. For example, VoIP could become just another Windows method that any application (CRM, database, etc.) could call -- no pun intended.
