The world of security exploits isn't exactly what most of us would call a boring topic. Still, 2006 was a particularly lively year for hacking, with the infamous "MacBook hack" dominating headlines and the "Month of Browser Bugs" kicking off a trend that still continues (check out today's security alert). eWeek takes a look back at 2006 and names the 5 most prominent security researchers (read: legitimate hackers) of the year.
