Linux-based Palm OS delayed?
Say it 'aint so Palm, say it 'aint so. Treo fans far and wide have been patiently waiting for the company's next-gen, ACCESS Linux-based OS for a while now and last we heard, Palm was on-track to deliver the goods by the end of the year. Be that as it may, we've heard suspiciously little about the operating system thus far, even though it was officially announced more than half a year ago. If there's any truth to the latest rumors, however, there might be a legitimate reason for Palm's silence: the Guardian reports that Palm is expecting a delay of "12 to 18 months" before the oft-delayed mobile OS shows its face. That could push Palm's next-gen platform--which has already been delayed by a number of years--well into 2009.
