Symantec, the world's largest vendor of security software, has announced that it will cut an unannounced number of jobs at a number of locations as part of a corporate restructuring plan. "As part of our ongoing focus on managing operational expenses, Symantec has recently implemented some restructuring measures, including a reduction in force," company spokeswoman Yunsun Wee told Reuters. "We're not releasing information on the size or the scope." We'll have more on this story as it develops.

I can already see the effects of Symantec's personnel reduction. It used to take 1 or 2 days to get a response for a problem, now it takes 7 to 14 days.
However, the price of their products have all gone up.

I am seeing it still, and hear from the employees in California and Oregon how unfair they are being treated, that is all I heard when talking to them, sounds like Symantec does not care about how they treat their employees..... I know country is having a hard time but treat people nicely not string them along.

Symantec does not care about their employees. The worst employer I ever worked for. They love to do lay offs right before or right after Thanks Giving. Nice way to enter into the holidays. This company has no heart and no soul. It is the prime example of an evil corporation.
