Kanguru launches eco-friendly external hard drives

We see a lot of external storage drives around these parts but it's not often we see a drive claiming to be friendly toward our Mother Earth. But that's exactly what Kanguru's new "Eco Drive" line of external hard drives is: a set of power-saving drives that lowers your energy bill while also doing Al Gore proud. Kanguru claims that these drives, which range in size from 80-750GB, can sip up to 75 percent less power than the competition, using three different power saving modes. What's more, the drives are also certified RoHS compliant, which means that a minimal amount of hazardous chemicals were used in the manufacturing process. Now eco-friendly is all well and good but couldn't their industrial designer have come up with something a bit more eye-friendly than a mid-90s looking enclosure and a glowing green kangaroo?
