Red Hat's JBoss division is open-sourcing parts of its middleware suite. The main part involved is the Operations Network, an agent technology for systems management features. JBoss' blueprints, methods, and toolkits will all be available under a to-be-determined public license. JBoss also announced some development tools for online applications at its annual JBoss World event.
